Ice-melting Bioluminescence

The series in progress during my residence at The Swatch Art Peace Hotel adds a brand new interpretation of the Ice-melting series: bioluminescence.

Also, I am using a new material: chinese silk.

 

Bioluminescence is a phenomenon developed by living organisms emitting ligth. The ligth is produced by chemical reactions of biological substances transforming their chemical energy into electromagnetic energy.

The magic of bioluminescence makes us considering, once more, how many and how heavy our limits are, as we are “superior beings” exploiting huge resources to produce something that Nature produces through physiological chemical reactions.
